Smile at someone; it could be a coworker, a stranger, or a friend, and watch how it brightens up their day. Hold the door for someone, whether it's a woman carrying groceries, a mom with a stroller, or a person with a disability, and show them that you care. Give a little treat to someone; it could be a kind word, a compliment, or a small gift, and see how it puts a spring in their step. Choose kindness, it's a choice we make every day, and it can change someone's life in a profound way. Make a positive impact today!

Henry and Dollie Brice's love story began on November 8, 1905, and flourished until Henry's passing in 1960, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and a family that grew exponentially: three children, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Brice's entrepreneurial spirit shone bright as he operated a cotton gin in Snyder until 1924 and served as a city alderman during the 1920s. His pursuit of justice led him to establish a law practice in 1935, and he was appointed county judge, a role he held with integrity until 1939. As the proprietor of the Scurry County Abstract Company, he remained a guiding light until his illness. His commitment to community was evident in his active membership in various clubs, including the Lions Club. Mrs. Brice's kindness and compassion earned her a revered place in several Snyder-based clubs, including the Scurry County Historical Survey Committee, leaving behind a lasting legacy of inspiration for generations to come. 💕

Kendall Brewster and Riley Owens recently returned Cindy Brewster's vintage megaphones to their Western Texas College home, a heartwarming gesture that bridges generations! Cindy, Kendall's mom and Riley's grandmother, was a proud WTC cheerleader from 1972 to 1974, and these megaphones hold a special place in their family's history. What makes them even more unique is that they were handmade by Cindy's dad, a talented craftsman who poured his heart into creating these iconic symbols of school spirit. Fast forward to the present, and Riley is now a student at WTC, following in her grandmother's footsteps and making her own mark on the school. The return of the megaphones serves as a sweet reminder of the strong family bonds and traditions that have been passed down through the years. We are proud to have them settle here in the Foundation's office. Thank you for thinking of us!

Today, we celebrate the life of Jimmy Whitney, a bright soul who left us far too soon! Born on September 29, 1970, Jimmy's life was tragically cut short when he passed away at the tender age of 21. Despite his short time on this earth, Jimmy made a lasting impact on those around him. During his time at Western Texas College, he was known for his impressive knowledge of computers and his infectious laughter, which echoed through the halls. His Business Management professor, Jack H. Price, was so inspired by Jimmy's spirit that he created a memorial in his honor, dedicated to supporting future students who would go on to pursue a degree in computers. Those who were lucky enough to know Jimmy described him as a fighter, someone who refused to let his circumstances define him. Humor was an integral part of his life, a coping mechanism that helped him navigate the challenges of his cancer diagnosis, which came when he was just 18 years old and still a senior in high school. Jimmy's courage and resilience in the face of adversity are an inspiration to us all, and we will continue to celebrate his life and legacy for years to come. 💫✨ Read more at
